Job Title: Marketing Manager
Reports to: Director of Operations
Direct Report: E-Commerce Assistant
About the role
In this role the strategy for the brand starts with you. You will develop a 3-5 year plan that will focus on the fundamentals of brand growth. You will challenge your peers across the business by thinking strategically, assessing success and realigning gaps that appear to deliver continued success. You will hold accountability to expand the brand across multiple markets growing with innovation and market share winning concepts and brand propositions.
You will develop and implement marketing strategies that effectively promote Melrose and Morgan’s products to its target audience. This includes conducting market research to identify customer needs and preferences, monitor social media and online marketing efforts, maximising on PR opportunities, and measuring the effectiveness of marketing programs. The ultimate goal is to increase sales, build brand awareness, and maintain customer satisfaction.
Your Responsibilities
External Relationships
· Maintain excellent relationships with our digital and PR partners
· Work with the marketing agency to distribute promotional material in a timely manner
Branding
· Create the Melrose and Morgan brand and ensure consistency in brand voice and collateral is maintained across all areas of the business in line with the Brand Book
· Create brand visuals with the use of the relevant graphic design programmes
· Create and maintain an annual marketing calendar – detailing all annual instore and digital marketing requirements, and incorporating all PR and digital advertising requirements
· Coordinate and manage media/public interest to generate coverage and maintain awareness of the branded outlets
· Handle and coordinate all media requests, media releases, enquiries and presentations-hosting media, influencers and VIPs to drive quality media and impactful word of mouth
· Keep current with marketing trends, competitive analysis, new communication techniques and digital platform, in order to explore and recommend creative ways to reaching out to target audience groups
· Plan monthly promotional calendar with managers generating ideas for new offerings
· Evaluate and prepare reports showing the results of marketing campaigns (ROI)
· Maintain effective internal communications to ensure all relevant internal departments are kept informed of marketing objectives
Engagement
· Ensure all merchandising layouts are updated seasonally.
· Create and collaborate on all requirements for in-store brand collateral (signage, brochures, banners) and ensure it is installed to schedule
· Run campaigns through our loyalty app to increase customer engagement
· Assist the Director of Operations with information as required on suppliers, products or other topics for use in the weekly shop comms
· Create new product training manuals such as for Christmas / Picnics etc showcasing our offer
· Build and maintain customer database and engage through regular customer communications as in newsletters, loyalty programs
· Support operations team in managing guest experience on site, be visible and be part of the face and the host of the outlets
· Respond to media or customer queries and complaints and host special events in conjunction with management to promote the stores
· Ensure all new products are photographed and uploaded in line with our launch schedule
· Implement strategies for driving repeat customer purchasing
· Work in collaboration with the sales team to drive sales
· Manage output of all Melrose and Morgan newsletters
· Manage the contact database and assist with lead generation activities
Social Media Engagement
· Approve all written post on social media content
· Champion knowledge of current digital trends
· Approve photographic and film content
Planning Marketing Strategy
· Develop and implement a strategic integrated marketing communications plan and correlation expenditure budgets annually
· Regularly define and identify most effective communication channels to promote existing products and services
· Develop advertising opportunities (special printed media, radio, other)
Marketing content
· Approve marketing material (photo and video shooting, collaterals, social media, WhatsApp and direct marketing emails)
· Approve digital marketing and social media activity across the various social media platforms.
