Position Summary

The Concert Manager is responsible for managing logistics, interactions, and relationship between the venue and its artists leading up to and including the day of a show on all needs. This role is the leader in ensuring an exceptionally hospitable experience for all artists playing at City Winery. They will facilitate a healthy chain of communication through proper advance processes, collaborate with operations to create efficient executional means for all shows and ensure the team is in the know on all details related to a successful event.



Minimum Qualifications


  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an artist management or related role in a hospitality setting

  • Prior artist management experience in high-volume, fast paced venue or similar environment preferred

  • Exceptional guest service and hospitality skills

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and work ethic

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work both as a team and independently 

  • Ability to take direction, and communicate effectively and professionally 

  • Ability to perform physical requirements of position including standing for extended periods of time, kneeling, stooping, using stairs, able to lift loads of up to 50 lbs.  Able to work rapidly, especially during peak periods to ensure that all guests are being serviced properly and necessary operational tasks are being completed in a timely manner

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays



Overview of Responsibilities


  • Develop, plan, and coordinate, logistics for all City Winery shows including advances and settlements

  • Handle all artists details including settlements at the end of each show with accuracy, discretion, and confidentiality 

  • Serve as primary point of contact for and manage all hospitality needs and artist relationships prior to and during an artists’ stay; arrange any special requests in a timely manner before the artists’ arrival

  • Coordinate proper housing and hospitality needs for artists

  • Handle all preparation work including but not limited to permits

  • Work with operational and artist management day of show to meet all artist needs prior to their arrival, and monitor all needs once on site including but not limited to: needs related to their fans including merchandising, guest lists, and arranged meet and greet

  • Oversee presentation and maintenance of the green room; stocking of materials and conduct routine maintenance as needed

  • Manage the Green Room attendant’s scheduling and tasks to ensure all; artist needs are taken care of day of show

  • Hire, schedule and train all Green Room Attendants to ensure they act as Ambassadors of the City Winery brand when dealing with all artists

  • Arrange safe storage of any road cases and unused equipment after load-in; arrange help for load-in and out 

  • Be onsite for artist and management greetings upon arrival and introduce key management members to the production and programming departments, and operational management working that evening, including the night concierge and floor management

  • Support bands traveling by vehicle with their parking options after unloading 

  • Facilitate hospitality needs for an artist, including handing out beverage or meal tickets and/or arranging service personnel to take care of any F&B ordering needs

  • Collaborate with the Venue Director on any details of a meet and greet and arrange these details with the host manager, concierge, main manager in charge, sound engineer and booking manager

  • Work with concierge department to acquire the artist guest list in a timely manner

  • Ensure that all details in the artist settlement are accurate and follow through on payment night of show.  

  • Coordinate merchandise sales between artist management and Venue Director 

  • Other duties, projects, tasks as per business need
